1. Skewed right: Mean>Median
& Skewed left: Mean<Median
2. 图表往往级坐是：frequency,横坐标里value. Things to include when
describing a distribution: Center (Mean or Median),Unusual Gaps or Outliers,
Spread (Standard Deviation or IQR), Shape(Roughly Symmetric,
slightly/heavily skewed left or right, bimodel, range)
3. Linear transformation
Addition affects center NOT spread.
Multiplication affects both center and spread.
4. r2: coefficient of determination. How well the model fits the data. Close to 1
is a good fit. "Percent of variation in y described by the LSRL on x*
5. residual= observed-predicted
6. Stratified sampling(从每个Group分别挑出一些)VS Cluster
sampling(从多个 Group 挑出一个Group)
7. Factor: The explanatory variables in the study.
8. Levet: The degree or value
9. Treatment: The conditon applied to the subjects. When there is one factor, the
treatments and the levels are the same.
10. Control Group: A control group is a group that receives no treatment
11 .Placebo 安慰剂:A fake or dummy treatment.
12. Blinding: Not telling subjects whether they receive the placebo or the
treatment
13. Double blinding: neither the researchers or the subjects know who gets the
treatment or placebo.
14. Randomization: Randomization refers to the practuce If assigning each
treatment to mjany experimental subjects.
15. Bias: when a method systematically favors one outcome over another.
16. Completely randomized design: With this design, subject?
assigned to treatments.
