  交际与语言表达

  1. 本篇是一个健身俱乐部的介绍。首先，“On behalf of LP Clubs，I’d like to welcome you all here today. My name’s...one of the fitness managers here.”中On behalf of ..., I’d like to ...(我谨代表机构/某人……)是致辞演讲时的常用开场白。

  2. 俱乐部经理讲“...I’ll just run through some basic information about...(我先讲一下的……基本信息)”、“run through”在这里为“过一遍”的意思。

  3. 讲到游泳池很宽，“...there are rarely more than a couple of people at a time in each lane.(...很多人在同一条泳道的情况很少)”。“a couple of意为“两个，几个”;“at a time”意为“在某时”。

  4. 在器材的使用上，“Each member is given full training in how to operate the equipment and there is always a trainer on duty to offer help and advice.”表示“每个人在操作设备方面都会受到充分的训练，而且教练也随时为您提供帮助和建议”。“操作设备”用“operate the equipment”; “on duty”意为“值班，上班”。

  5. 费用上，“Older children continue to benefit from a wide range of tuition…”表示“大一些的孩子还在学费上享有一系列的优惠”。“benefit from”意为“受益于”;“a wide range of”意为“大范围的;各种不同的”。

  6. 接着讲俱乐部在客户中的口碑，“One thing all our members appreciate about us is that we take very good care of them.”其中“appreciate”意为“赞赏”;“take care of...”意为“照顾”。

  7. 健身时，注意人身安全和避免受伤很重要，于是提到“It’s very important to do this because we really do want to avoid having any sports injuries. There’s a lot more to looking after yourself than simply lifting weights!”其中“It’s very important

  to...” 为固定句式，意为“……很重要”;avoid(避免)，可以有avoid sb./sth. 或 avoid doing sth.(避免做)两种表述;look after = take care of (照顾)。

  8. 最后讲的是types of membership (会员种类)，其中有individual gold membership (个人金卡会员)、joint membership (联合会员)、premier membership (优先/超级会员)。

  考题解析

  Questions 11-12 A C (IN EITHER ORDER)

  听前预测：定位词为facilities。

  题目解析：本题有5个选项，A选项为“健身房”，B选项为“跑道”，C选项为“室内游泳池”，D选项为“室外游泳池"，E选项为“儿童运动训练”。根据定位词，注意听“swimming pool which at 25 metres isn’t Olympic-sized, but now we’ve expanded it to eight lanes，it’s much wider”和“recently refurbished fitness suite”其中fitness suite和gym表达同一个意思，即健身房，因此A可选。但选项中对swimming pool有限定，到底是室内还是室外，还得通过“Unfortunately, there isn’t space for an outdoor pool here”做出判断，所以C也可选。

  听前预测：定位词为New members，提示词为any，此处应填名词。

  题目解析：录音中并没有直接说New members，而是通过同义句转述：This starts on day one with your personal assessment. You are asked to fill in a questionnaire giving details of any health problems.既然是day one，那也就是new member了，fill in a questionnaire即填写调查问卷，giving details of any health problems中的giving details of正好是题干中describe的同义替换，故health problems为答案。

  Question 14 safety rules

  听前预测：提示词为The(主语)，此处应填名词。

  题目解析：空格处缺少的是句子的主语，整个句子用的时态又是被动语态，所填就需是“物”。定位到“The trainer will then take you through the safety rules for using the equipment in the fitness suite”，于是 safety rules就是trainer要take you through 的内容，题干中将take you through同义替换成了be explained to you，句子从主动形式变成了被动句，这样一来safety rules就作了主语。

  Question 15 plan

  听前预测：定位词为six-week，提示词为a，此处应填名词(单数)。

  题目解析：注意听含有定位词的句子“the trainer will draw up a plan, outlining what you should try to achieve within a six-week period”，其中“draw up a plan”的意思是“起草计划”。“outlining what you should try to achieve”修饰plan的用途，一直围绕着plan讲，因此将被提供的是a six-week plan，plan即为答案。

  Question 16 joining

  听前预测：定位为￡90，提示词为fee，此处应填名词或形容词。题目解析：本题考查的是￡90指哪种fee。定位至“All members must pay a joining fee of ￡90…”，很容易得出答案joining。

  Question 17 free entry

  听前预测：定位词为Gold members，提示词为given，此处应填名词。

  题目解析：此题相对比较容易，答案出现在：Gold membership entitles you to free entry at all LP Clubs.(金牌会员享有免费进入所有LP俱乐部的权利。)其中“entitle sb. to do sth.”表示“授权某人做某事，某人有权利做某事”。

  Question 18 peak

  听前预测：定位词为Premier members和priority，提示词为hours，此处应填数字、名词或形容词。

  题目解析：Premier members的priority问题在“LP gives booking preferences to Premier members at peak times”中给了很好的解释，只不过priority在原句中是用preferences一词表现的，Premier members 为原词出现，代入题目中，peak即为答案。

  Question 19 guests

  听前预测：定位词为bring，提示词为some，此处应填名词(复数)。

  题目解析：此题要特别注意题干与听力原文出题句之间的同义替换，相应的出题句子为：Premier membership is for individuals only, but you will be sent passes for guests every month.(虽然超级会员仅 限本人使用，但每个月可以带一些人以客人的身份进入。)you will be sent passes for guests，这里的passes为名词，意思是“通行证”，所以本句的意思就是可以bring guests，因此答案为guest。

  Question 20 photo card/photo cards

  听前预测：定位词为take，提示词为their，此处应填名词(单复数均可)。

  题目解析：看到定位词take，脑海中首先设想可能会出现remember to take...或don’t forget to...等类似的句子。果然，后面可以听到“but it’s very important to remember your photo card...”与之前的假设基本吻合，从而得到答案photo card或photo cards。
