今天我们来学习和植物相关的词汇。

1. chemistry /'kem?str?/
n. （人与人之间的）强烈的吸引力
e.g. The romance film was a total flop because there was not chemistry between the actors at all.
注：flop: 彻底失败;惨败
e.g. some of the best chemistry that takes place on-screen is often a result of the actors' relationship off-screen.

2. audition /??'d??(?)n/
n. 试镜；试演；试唱
搭配：audition for
e.g. Auditions will be held next week for the spring musical.
e.g. She had an audition for the starring role but wound up with a bit part.
注：starring role：主角

audition 也可做动词：
e.g. She auditioned for the starring role.
e.g. None of the actresses we have auditioned is suitable.

3. blockbuster /'bl?kb?st?/
n. 轰动一时的电影；一度热卖的畅销书
e.g. The actor starred in a blockbuster last year.
e.g. Her 2001 role as Lara Croft in the blockbuster “Tomb Raider” shot her to international fame.
注：someone shoots to fame 迅速(成名);一举(成功)

blockbuster 也可以放在名词之前
e.g. a blockbuster show/ display/ artist
e.g. Tickets for this blockbuster game sold out in 45 minutes.

4. release /r?'li?s/
v. 发行，推出(唱片、碟片或电影)
e.g. The album was originally released in 1974.
e.g. Her last hit movie was released in 2009.
注：hit movie 热门电影

n. 发行；发布
常见搭配：be on general release
e.g. The film was on general release last week.
同义词：come out

n. 新发行的影片;新片;新碟;发行物
e.g. You can find almost all new releases on this website.
e.g. As recently as 2002, a new release of Elvis's hits sold more than any other collection in the country.
