  The education of young people is highly prioritised in many countries. However, educating adults who cannot write or read is more important and governments should spend more money on this. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

  Introduction

  Traditionally, education of young children is always given the top priority in the majority of nations, but prioritising the instruction for illiterate adults is highly recommended by some educationalists. Personally, I fully advocate such recommendation and deem that the corridors of power should allocate more budgets to this.

Besides, in comparison with young children, who are at their best stage to assimilate new techniques and thus can be easily nurtured into elites in sundry domains, adults are more likely to be inhibited by self-consciousness, consequently incurring the low learning efficiency. However, the aforementioned argument holds no water, which indicates that behind education of adults are more gains.

Hence, wiping out illiteracy for adults should be prioritised. // Additionally, if illiterate adults seize such chance to acquire new working techniques, especially when robots are gradually replacing them to do those repeated work, they will secure a more decent job, and the whole society can thus enjoy a more vigorous workforce.
