Alright,the work of art I'd like to speak about is a music box, which was handed down from my grandfather.
Actually I can't remember the first time I saw it clearly, but it was on a family gathering in my childhood.My dad took me to visit my grandparents in their new house in suburban area, while my grandpa showed it to me.In terms of what it looked like,the music box was not too big and it looked like a European style cathedral,with a red round roof.I was quite curious about that woodwork coz it was really exquisite.There were lots of caved designs on it,and the most magical thing about it for me,I mean a very little girl at that time, was that it could even paly music! Although I didn’t know what the song was,I found it was really a cool gadget.Well,another special point about the music box was it was totally handmade by a Russian friend of my grandpa! And the music it played was exactly the national anthem of Russia.That was so amazing that I couldn't even imagine how a person created such a lovely and delicate thing!Also,I became to admire my grandpa coz he's got such a talented foreign friend.
And you know what,it is MY music box now since my grandfather gave it to me as a gift on my 18th birthday!And it's just standing on the bookshelf in my bedroom now.I believe it is definitely a perfect work of art for me.
