1. The topic really reminds me of an unforgettable experience a couple of years ago when I visited Scotland.

这个话题还真的让我想起来几年前当我在苏格兰旅游时的一段难忘的经历。

2. On one day during that trip, when I was wandering together with my two close friends on the street in Edinburgh, we had something very typical in a local restaurant.

在那次旅行期间的一天，当我和我的两个好朋友在爱丁堡街上闲逛的时候，我们在一家当地的餐馆吃了一些东西非常得特别。

3. We ordered the national dish of Scotland, called Haggis.

我们点了苏格兰的“国菜”，叫“哈吉斯”。

4. Haggis is a savoury pudding, containing sheep's pluck including heart, liver and lungs, minced with onion.

哈吉斯是一种口味浓郁美味的布丁，它包括切碎的洋葱末和羊的内脏：包括羊心，羊肝以及羊肺。

5. Traditionally, the pudding is encased in the animal's stomach, but nowadays it’s often packed in an artificial casing.

6. Frankly speaking, I was kind of uncomfortable when I saw Haggis for the first time.

7. It really scared me at first, and I was even almost ready to give up eating it, but my friends forced me to have a bite.
