  1. Do you have a favourite flower or plant? [Why/Why no?]

  参考范文1 Tulips. Definitely tulips. I'm not entirely sure why, but 1 think it may be because you can get them in so many different colours, and they are just erect, you know,not droopy like some flowers can be. Solid, standing up, saying'yup, I'm here, I'm beautiful, look at me.'

  参考范文2 I suppose 1'm somewhat of a traditionalist when it comes to flowers,and the ones that I like the best are roses.And in particular,long stemmed red roses.I just love the shape of the flower, so many intricate layers of petals and that deep, pure red.

  2. What kinds of flowers and plants grow near where you live? [Why/Why not?]

  参考范文 1 Honestly, I don't know. It's actually quite stunning where I live: there are a multitude of fragrances and colours each time I walk through to my apartment. There are varieties of greenery around my community, but nothing that I recognise or could name.

  参考范文2 Well,there aren't that many,really.Where I live,there are lots of diferent types of tree,and where it's not concrete for walkways,there's quite a lot of grass,but not much else,unfortunately.

  3. Is it important to you to have flowers and plants in your home? [Why/Why not?]

  参考范文1 For me, no. 1 get hayfever, so I'm not keen on flowers indoors. To be honest, in spring, I'm not a fan of them outdoors either, but there's not a lot I can do about that. The odd plant is ok, you know, like a spider plant which doesn't pollenate, and it adds a lttle colour to the place.

  参考范文2 Oh, without a doubt. We have wallflowers, potted plants and numerous vases flled with fresh flowers nearly all the time at my house. I think it's my Mum that loves them most, but we all enjoy the fragrance of the air. When I come home from university, I always take in a deep breath, and it flls me with, well, joy.

  4. Have you ever bought flowers for someone else? [Why/Why not?]

  参考范文1 Yes, of course. My girlfriend adores roses. I'm not sure I know a girl that doesn';they are the flower of love after all. Having said that, my mother really likes lilies,so for her birthday and other occasions like that, I always buy her some of those.

  参考范文2 Yes. I buy them for my Mum on her birthday, Mother's Day, things like that. I know she enjoys them because she always has a brilliant smile when 1 give them to her. I know that she knows they'te coming as it happens every year, but I don't think that really matters.
