From my perspective, it is a better way to get a particular understanding of other culture and habits by traveling instead of only by reading books or watching films online.

  One of main effects of tourism enables travelers to learn about more customs and culture. To begin with, nothing is more useful than to visit the place personally you want to learn about in details. It is no rare thing that some tourists fall in love with people and places they visit and decide to live in there, acting like mediators between cultures and enhancing integration. It is the case that many tourist guides decide to move abroad and enjoy a different lifestyle and culture, trying to share their feelings with visitors. Moreover, speaking the language of the place individuals visit can help them understand people from different cultures, so undoubtedly, traveling is able to offer more opportunities to visitors to adapt and acquire different indigenous language as soon as possible.

  Nevertheless, it is also true that Internet is an ocean of knowledge. Citizens can obtain information about any topic on Earth from the Internet. Admittedly, there is no authenticity of the information. What information to get and from where to get require a lot of expertise. Films also show many places and local citizens to audience, but some of them are adapted partly in order to create increasingly spectacular scenes and attract more viewers. Individuals still need to enjoy real customs and habits if they want to explore more potential culture belonged to other places.

  In conclusion, although people usually spend more time on films, books and the Internet because of convenience, this time is not as productive as the small amount of time spent on traveling in those places.
