  The diagram given depicts the production process of sugar from sugar cane. Seven stages areshown, from the initial growing to the completed sugar at the end.

  To begin with, the sugar canes need to be planted and grown. This step would typically takesomewhere between 12 and 18 months. After this, they are harvested, either by hand or machineand then crushed to make juice.

  The fourth and fifth steps are putting the juice through a purification process using alimestone filter and then placing the purified liquid into an evaporator. With heat during this step,the juice becomes syrup.

  The final couple of steps are that the syrup is placed in a centrifuge to separate the sugarcrystals from syrup. It doesn't show how long this process takes. Once separated, the crystals aredried and cooled. This is where the process ends, as it doesn't illustrate what happens after thecooling.(153 words)
