1月11日，第80届金球奖颁奖典礼在加利福尼亚州比佛利山庄的贝弗利希尔顿酒店举行。杨紫琼凭借在《瞬息全宇宙》出演的角色获得音乐/喜剧类电影最佳女主角。粉丝赞其是“华人之光”。
杨紫琼获奖感言：
I'm just gonna stand here and take this all in. Forty years. Not letting go of this. So just quickly, thank you, Hollywood Foreign Press, for giving me this honor. It's been an amazing journey and incredible fight to be here today, but I think it's been worth it.
今天我就站在这里，好好感受这一切。40年了。我不会轻易放手这座奖杯。这是一段精彩的旅程，一场尽兴的战斗，才能走到这里。但一切都值得。
I remember when I first came to Hollywood; it was a dream come true until I got here, because look at this face.

I came here and was told, “you're a minority,” and I'm like, “no, that's not possible.” And then someone said to me, “You speak English!” I mean, forget about them not knowing Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Asia, India.

And then I said, “Yeah the flight here was about 13 hours long so I learned.”

As time went by... I turned 60 last year, and I think all of you women understand this, as the days, the years, and the numbers get bigger, it seems like opportunities start to get smaller as well.

And it was probably at a time when I thought, “Well, come on girl, you've had a really, really good run. You worked with some of the best people: Steven Spielberg, James Cameron, and Danny Boyle, so it's good. It's all good.”

① award

. She was awarded a medal for bravery. 她因勇敢而获得奖章。
. Mike was awarded the first prize.Mike获得一等奖。
作为名词，意为“裁定; 决定；奖品; 奖状; 奖金”，如：
. the award of a scholarship 奖学金颁发决定
. an award presentation/ceremony 奖品的颁发[颁奖仪式
举例：
. She showed us the athletics awards she had won. 她给我们看她赢得的体育运动奖。
. The movie earned three Grammy Awards.这部电影赢得三项格莱美奖。
② reward
“reward”作为名词有“报答; 报偿；赔偿；赏金”等含义，如：
. work without hope of reward 无偿工作
. reap, receive one's just reward 获得应有的报酬
举例：
. One reward of my job is meeting people. 我在工作中的一个收获是能认识许多人。
. He received a medal in reward for his bravery. 他因表现勇敢而获得了一枚奖章。
. A 1000 reward has been offered for the return of the stolen painting. 悬赏1000英镑寻找失窃的画。
作为动词理解为“给某人报酬; 奖赏某人”，可以表达为“reward sb (for sth/doing sth) ”或者“give a reward to sb”。
举例：
. His persistence was rewarded when the car finally started. 他那些力气没有白费, 汽车终於启动了。
. Anyone providing information which leads to the recovery of the painting will be rewarded. 凡提供线索有助於寻回该画者可获报酬。
③ prize
“prize”为名词意为“（给予获胜者的）奖, 奖励, 奖赏, 奖品, 奖金”或者“追求的东西”，如：
. first prize 一等奖
. Noble Prize for Physics 诺贝尔物理学奖
举例：
. He won the 20000 prize on the football pools. 他赢得足球普尔彩金20000英镑。
. She had the prize-winning lottery ticket. 她抽到了得奖的彩票。
④ bonus
“bonus”为名词，理解为“额外津贴; 奖金; 红利”，如：
. a productivity bonus, ie money added to wages when workers produce more goods, etc 生产奖金
. anything pleasant in addition to what is expected 意外的好处
举例：
. Company employees received a 25 Christmas bonus. 公司雇员得到25英镑的圣诞节赠金。
. Workers in big firms receive a substantial part of their pay in the form of bonuses and overtime.大公司的工人，工资很大一部分是奖金和加班费。
二、“颁奖典礼”“女主角”用英语该怎么说？
颁奖典礼其实就是一种仪式，可以用ceremony来表达，所以，颁奖典礼可以用award ceremony表示。
举例：
. He wasn't present at the award ceremony. 他没有出席颁奖典礼。
. There were plenty of superstars on show at the award ceremony. 颁奖典礼上可以看到很多明星。
女主角在英文中可以说“a lead actress”，如：
. A lead actress in a film 电影女主角
此外，还可以表达成“the female lead”。
男主角可以说成“lead actor”或者是“the male lead”。
英文中不太有二番、三番的说法，所以可用“配角”来表示，如：
. a supporting actress 女配角
. a supporting actor 男配角
. protagonist 故事中的主角
