I recently went to a New Year’s Eve party with about two dozen friends.

This New Year's Eve was very cold in Beijing, and the bar where we had the party was not heated. I saw many people standing around in their coats and sweaters, and they looked very chilly. As the night went on, it got colder and colder still!

Another problem was that some young lovers seemed to be having disagreements that night, and everyone could hear them arguing. This made other people very uncomfortable。
