If you are going to choose a roommate which of the following quality is more important to you.

For Roommate, someone we spend most of our spare time with, I consider friendliness the most important quality. Primarily, a friendly person is no wonder easier to communicate with. Setting the rules in the beginning, having problems during the semester, no matter what situation you are facing, you can always directly talk to your roommate and come up with a solution instead of endless quarrel or indifference. Whafs more, I believe roommate should not be our most familiar stranger. For a friendly person, during your daily talk and interaction, it’s highly possible for the two who live under the same roof to become really close friends, which will make the atmosphere in the dorm a lot more pleasant.

解析：

cleaness:讲究个人卫生，宿舍环境更好;这个点比较适合举例子(可以用personal experience)也可以举反例;

friendlyness:友好的人容易相处，宿舍生活会更融洽;同一屋檐下的两人会有更多交流更容易成为朋友。

Some people prefer to buy new books while some people would like to buy used books, what is your opinion?

Frankly speaking, comparing to new books I would rather buy used books. Primarily, what matters is the content of the book instead of its appearance or it's paper back or not. Thus, a second hand book totally qualifies. The second hand a thousand splendid suns I got years ago still accompanied me for tons of sleepless nights and gave me a glimpse of the magic of writing. In addition, to buy used book is absolutely more environmentally friendly. Other than throwing them away after reading, passing on the treasure to the next reader is surely a better way.

新书：质量更好，读起来更舒适;更加卫生(没有被很多人接触过)

旧书：书的纸张质量和新旧并不是重点，重要的是里面的内容;看旧书更环保、更省钱。
