托福写作范文：

The writer and the speaker have a debate on Shelter forest. The writer claims that it brings a lot of benefits, which is opposed by the following lecture.

First, the writer claims that shelter forest can prevent desertification. While the speaker views this issue from an opposite angle, according to him/her, Water is limited in that area. Planting trees means more water are needed, bringing burden to these lands.

Secondly, the passage states that it can provide habitats for more animals. However, the speaker casts doubt on this opinion by saying that shelter plants are uniform and lacks diversity, so there are little animal can get benefits from shelter plants.

Last, the writer argues that shelter forest can reduce global warming. However, because of global warming, snow melts at a faster rate. By contrast, in accordance with the speaker, this claim does not hold water. Shelter plants in the area where grasses planted. In fact, grasses can retain and absorb more heat from sun than shelter plants. Therefore, the climate will be warmer.
