Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?Students are more interested in politics today than they were in the past.
写作范文
Although I do not personally have the reliable statistics showing the population of young registered voters, I think that there must be a notable discrepancy between that number and the number of those who actually vote. This gap to some extent represents the general lack of interest in politics among young people – predominantly students.
First, today's students are too busy. ← 超短句作中心句【乍一看，这个idea很好展开，那怎么“另辟蹊径”地展开写作呢：】They may not be occupied with study only, they however cannot find even a slice of time to read the profiles of political candidates. If they do not vote irresponsibly, they do not vote at all.Admittedly,that the young mind is devoid of interest in politics cannot be ascertained simply by counting their votes. However, if we could track today’s young people for a semester, a proper length of time that could tell a typical student’s schedule, we would find that students live a busy life where they attend lectures, read, do assignments, play and socialize and therefore do not seem to spare a minute to actually care about what happens in their districts or the congress. Being busy was not an excuse in the past. Our grandparents or parents were not as busy as we are today. There is no denying that they also needed to study and play. The load of work or the availability of entertainment was however not as much as it is today. Meanwhile, politics was just the right subject where they would pay their attention.
Meanwhile, politics is no fun. ← 超短句作中心句 Compared with today’s great diversity of entertainment, politics is plain water that does not sparkle. ← 这个idea是不是可以顺着大家习惯的思路展开，那就略了哈。
At this point, a solid argument has been built on two pieces of common-sense evidence. ← 笔者怎么不知道你们喜欢“套句/套话 Now, politics does not matter to students as much as it did in the past. As matter of fact, it probably does not matter at all.
